Hello Olly,

Sorry neither Betyy orI have attended recent gatherings.. the dreadful flu confined us to a wrm house….. I have been in touch with Teignmouth CLP as last year we discussed my giving a Brexit talk to members. It occurs to me that in the light of a Opposition front bench review on its approach to Brexit, members of Newton Abbot CLP might like to meet to discuss just where we are with Brexit and the options open to us. That would help members to make an informed opinion on a what is best for the people and business of Britain . This is a time when the national party needs feedback from constituencies as to just what are grass roots feeling and opinions about Brexit. If the committee wish I would be very happy to talk with members. Don Frampton

Dear colleague,

My name is Jerry Weber and I am the chair of Warwick & Leamington CLP. I was also the agent for Matt Western at the General Election in June where we pulled off a remarkable victory and overturned a Tory majority of 6,500.

I am standing as a non-aligned and independent candidate for one of the CLP places on the NEC.

I am standing because I am very concerned about the continuing rift and discord within the Party. It really is time we put our differences behind us and started to build a party to offer the electorate a real alternative. The Party needs reforming. I will be committed to open processes and transparency in dealing with difficult issues such as suspensions and expulsion from the Party.

I hope that you will be holding a nomination meeting and that you will support me and give an independent voice a chance to be on the ballot paper. Although I am a member of the Co-operative Party, I am not aligned to any other group. I believe that CLP representatives on the NEC need to be independent and not dependent on groups such as Momentum and Progress.

The NEC is our key body that directs the future of the Party. If elected, I will be a grassroots member of the NEC.

Check out my flyer on Facebook

I look forward to your support.

Best wishes

Congratulations on knocking Lib Dems into 3rd Place and increasing share of vote by 12%, brilliant job. I visited the stall in April and took a poster and said I thought you were making a mistake putting up a candidate. I was wrong, continue to close the gap on the Tories. By the way I’m in Holborn & St Pancras consitutency, Keir Starmer increased his majority as well.

Just wondering what the local policy is regarding tactical voting.

Loathed to vote Liberal after 2010 but honestly feel that I might as well vote Tory as vote for a Labour or Green candidate that has no chance.

Just wanted to ask if you would be interested in getting external help with graphic design? We do all design work like banners, advertisements, photo edits, logos, flyers, etc. for a fixed monthly fee.

We don’t charge for each task. What kind of work do you need on a regular basis? Let me know and I’ll share my portfolio with you.

I live in Bishopsteignton, for the first time we are placed in the Teign Estuary/Kingsteignton electoral area. Why should I vote for any of the candidates in the 4th May 2017 election? No-one has sent us a leaflet, no-one has called us on the phone, no-one has emailed us and no-one has knocked on our door! If we were still part of the Teignmouth ward I could understand complacency but this is dereliction of duty by ALL of the candidates.

I pay my subs and up to know have never asked anything.

I want to know what is going on with Ken Livingston. He claims to have repeated what is accepted history. (I do not know if correct?)

If this is the case why is he being persecuted?

yours sincerely

This is the first communication I have had from NALP in more than two years and George Hampshire was Secretary. My membership dates from just pre H Wilson as P M. Can I suggest that you publish here the minutes of the AGM with how many members attended and the names of those who were elected to offices in NALP. Can you tell me why some members did not receive notice of the AGM? Can I also ask that in accordance with rules notice of meetings- dates and place – are sent ( By email or otherwise) to all notice was sent to me or my wife whose membership also predate H Wilson as P M. For a start what is the date of the next NALP meeting ?. I like the idea of this message board.. it appears to need someone to regularly manage the reply side of the communications. Nice to hear from you.. Don F

I recognise that meetings have been suspended, but are there any plans to hold meetings to discuss actions and responses to the local CCG’s proposals that will see the loss of more community hospitals? Surely, this should be a priority and could be organised now for after the leadership result. Perhaps these have been organised, but if so, it is hard to find.

Dear Chris,

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, due to my disability, where one of the symptoms of my condition is to suffer from social anxiety, I will be unable to attend this meeting, however, I would very much like to be there in spirit, and ask, by reading this email – you will allow my voice to be heard.

I would like to state my support for our party leader: Jeremy Corbyn, and nominate him to remain as our leader.

Jeremy Corbyn is a working class hero fighting against the darkness. He is fighting for people like me!

Jeremy tells the truth. He doesn’t lie. He does what is right. He cares about people. We all should be supporting him. It’s as simple as that.

There are millions of people, just like me, around the country supporting Jeremy Corbyn: and our local Labour party should be too!

Jeremy stays strong and is fighting for us: fighting for a better future for the common folk.

I’m actually typing this with tears in my eyes.

Jeremy is something so rare as a man with integrity in politics who actually cares about his country and does what is right with integrity.

Jeremy Corbyn as our leader is a beacon of hope and our champion in an ever darkening work.

My name is Thomas and I am a member of the Labour party and I am voting for Jeremy Coryn.

P.S. I would really appreciate it if you might confirm the receipt of this email and send me a copy, if possible, of the meeting minutes.

Print quotes/orders, we used to print for you but George has left you I understand, so I was looking to see if you needed more print for the Labour Party this year?

With the Labour Party now looking to make Britain a more ‘equal’ society I, like many others around the UK, have to look at which political party is going to make my life more ‘equal’.

I’ve been involved in ‘mental health’ issues for many years and one thing I have come across time and time again is how ‘men’ in general have been neglected and have become the victims of discrimination. I can come up with many issues facing men that has then resulted in increased male suicide.

One of the biggest problems is that government always focuses on ’women’s issues’ and parties always have a minister for ‘women and equality’. Yet with so many male suicides and so many issues facing men in today’s society my question is, will the labour party get rid of ministers for ‘women’ and equality and have a minister for ‘All’ and equality’ and a minister who talks about male issues as much as they talk about female issues? We can’t have an equal society that Mr Corbyn talks about unless we focus on men as much as we do women and not until the party in government is ‘seen’ to be helping men and not just women.

So will Labour change this inequality and support men and male issues just as much as women’s issues or will men continue to be discriminated against in a Western world that now seems to focus on women’s issues and then pretend they actually believe in equality?

Can you let me know what Labour will do about this?
